Toyota Material Handling has very ambitious climate goals approved by SBTi and we are working to be a sustainable employer. We are now looking for a person in the role of our Sustainability Specialist who can drive and lead projects in the sustainability area within our organization.

About the Role:

The role is a central part of the company and you will interact with several functions within the organization, build networks to understand the whole picture, and act effectively in cross-border projects. Externally, you will be in contact with authorities, customers, and subcontractors.

The responsibilities of the role are divided into 3 parts:

Sustainability Champion

  • Main contact with the group regarding environmental and sustainability issues and goals, as well as supporting local sustainability issues where you will interact with representatives from other companies in the group.
  • The company's overall property manager, providing support to local property managers within the company.
  • Ensure processes for the development and reporting of environmental data to the group and various authorities as well as the environmental regulations.

Customer Support

  • Assist salespeople in responding to customer RFIs/RFQs and coordinate compliance with various directives and regulations.
  • Drive and improve our customer platform in the area.

Marketing

  • Together with our marketing department and sales organization, drive our sustainability packaging and information to the market.

Who We Are Looking For

You should be driven and engaged in the sustainability area and preferably passionate about sustainability. Since the role is relatively free, we are looking for a person who wants to combine strategic thinking with operational efficiency in a dynamic environment. You are someone who approaches tasks in a positive and humble manner and sees more opportunities in setbacks.

As you will interact both internally and externally, we see that you enjoy inspiring others and have a natural ability to build relationships. We also see that you are good at guiding employees in their sustainability efforts.

In terms of experience, you should have had a similar role for a couple of years. If you also have experience in projects related to Lean, supply chain, and/or production, this is a merit.

As we are a project-driven organization, you are used to working with project management and reporting to steering groups. Although we are an international group, much communication still takes place in Swedish, so you should be able to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Other

The location is Mjölby or Solna. Travel within Sweden and internationally may occur in the position. The appointment will be made by agreement.
